How to Compare a Professional Beauty-Device Quote Without Mixing the System and Its Parts
Compare a professional beauty-device proposal by separating the complete system, dedicated parts and documentation requirements before requesting an order-level review.

A professional device proposal is difficult to compare when one number refers to a complete system and another refers to a handpiece, treatment head or other dedicated item. Start by marking each line in the proposal before you compare prices. A lower number is not comparable if it describes a different commercial object.
Hospital equipment-management research from China makes a useful procurement distinction: compare the equipment configuration, any dedicated consumables or parts, and the commercial/document requirements separately. For international beauty-device sourcing, that is a quote-reading method—not a clinical, maintenance or regulatory rule.
First, name the commercial object on every line
Use one of these labels for each figure or request:
- Complete system: the exact system name, version or condition, and the configuration described in the proposal.
- Dedicated part or consumable: a treatment head, tip, handpiece, cable or other separately identified item. Record its exact item reference and unit.
- Documentation or commercial requirement: the documents you need reviewed, destination, quantity, proposed condition and other order-level requirements.
Do not assume every system has a recurring consumable. Do not assume a part is included with a system. If a line is not labelled clearly, keep it as an unanswered question instead of assigning it to the nearest familiar product name.
Why a system reference is not a part reference
Manufacturer documentation can distinguish a complete system from its components. For example, the official Ulthera System Instructions for Use for Ultherapy PRIME identifies a control unit, handpiece and interchangeable transducers as separate components. That product architecture is useful for describing a request; it does not say what a proposed commercial package includes.
The same boundary applies to a quote. A system price cannot be used as a treatment-head price, and an item price cannot be used as a system price.
If you need a component review, follow the professional part-identification guide and provide the relevant item reference, label or photos.
Keep MIEING examples on separate lines
MIEING's current public reference for an original Ultherapy PRIME refurbished system is USD 24,000 per unit. It is a whole-system reference that requires order-level confirmation of the exact system/version, control unit, handpiece, relevant item references, condition, quantity, destination and documents.
Read the Ultherapy PRIME refurbished-system request checklist for that route.
MIEING's current public reference for an original XERF treatment head is USD 160 per piece. It is an item-level reference, not a XERF system price or a statement that any named head is included in a system proposal. A treatment-head request needs the exact device model and item reference before it is reviewed.
See the XERF treatment-tip sourcing checklist.
These are reference points, not a live-stock signal, a fixed destination quote or a bundle description. Price, proposed item, quantity, destination, documents and commercial terms are confirmed for the individual order.
Make the comparison record before you ask for details
For each proposal, record:
- the exact system name/version and its stated condition;
- each separately requested part or consumable, with item reference and quantity;
- the unit attached to each price: system, piece, set, or another stated unit;
- items explicitly included, excluded or still unknown;
- the destination and documents you need reviewed; and
- questions that need an order-level answer rather than an assumption.
This is not a request to calculate a treatment cost, lifecycle cost or return on investment. It is a way to keep a system proposal, a part request and a document requirement from being compared as if they were the same purchase.
Questions professional buyers often ask
Does a lower component price mean the complete system is less expensive?
No. A component and a complete system are different commercial objects. Confirm the exact object, unit, quantity and configuration before comparing them.
Does a system proposal prove that a particular treatment head is included?
No. A proposal must state the included configuration. A separate head or tip needs its own item-level identification and review.
Can a public reference price be used as a final quote?
No. It is a reference for the named route only. The proposed item, condition, quantity, destination, documents and commercial terms are confirmed before an order is accepted.
Discuss your requirement
State whether you are reviewing a complete system, a separately requested component, or both. Include the exact product/version, item references, quantity, destination and document requirements so the request can be reviewed at the right level.
